If Hachi was asked the question that what the picture above of the moon taken from the same place over 28 days said, she would like to answer that the trajectory of the moon was expressing sounds and movement of love.

Sounds and movement of love? What does she talking about?

Just before the photo popped up, she was struggling to find a core of things in her mind, such as some pieces of music, stories and some feelings.

When she tried to verbalize “the formulated stuff” (this article was meant to be written in Japanese at first), all parts were scattered so that the article was about to be discarded.

Then, the photo popped up.

Now it turns out to be an article in English, and hopefully things are formulated…! (Why can’t she do that in Japanese???)

Love has variety of definitions and feelings, which sometimes differ from person to person.

Some feelings are heartwarming.

Others might be suppressed and appear in a weird way.

Hachi feels that love has tendency that it will be disappeared when it is verbalized.

Also she is basically careful to talk in public about strong emotions which definitions are uncertain.

Therefore, she often tries to find umbrella matters first.

However, no matter how many times she waited for reflections, love seemed to be the starting point of this article.

The answer is not only unchanged but also amplified day by day as looking around her.

Therefore, she would like to start the article by introducing two songs about love for variety of things and people.

Making Sounds Rise and Fall in the Range of Several Octaves

First, “Surachi Maiagare (Stand up and fly into the future) from Sego Don theme song sung” by Anna Sato.

Hachi has been listening to the song since she finished writing “struggles in the transition period, trying to understand Okinawa dialect and the meaning of the lyrics.

(She also wondered how she can make her voice closer to the singer’s one (at least Hachi herself feels comfortable) .

Note 1: Hachi’s vocal range is alto.
Note 2: The last time she went to Karaoke was when she was in high school.
Note 3: She likes humming while she was cooking, vacuuming or when she gets tired at night.)

Let’s listen to the song.

The melody is from the soundtrack of Historical Drama about Meiji Restoration in Japan, mainly in Kagoshima Prefecture, sung in Okinawa dialect.
The high-pitched sound protects Hachi’s mind somehow.

How did you like it?

It sounded supple to Hachi, and she was amazed by the singer’s vocal range of two or three (or more?) octaves.

Hachi hopes you to see the supple movement of the voice, and hopes to share the image* of its movement, like the photo of the moon, with you as well.

(*She wonders the expression makes sense, but she recognizes the song as an image as well.
Perhaps it is because her visual, auditory, somatic feeling and relationship channels are activated at the same time now.

She would like to share what would happen to her when many channels are activated at the same time.

Note4: She often freezes when she feels many things via many channels at the same time.
Note5: When she got a gift, she often watched it for a while on a desk. Some people think she does not care about it, but that is not true, she is enjoying a new moment and a new feeling.)

The lyrics say like this:
“Stand up as a matured person and fly into the future, keeping back tears, holding feelings of the dead and shouting out, in order to let this world be filled with love.”

That is the official explanation of the lyrics.

Hachi also feels the bubbling-up feelings of the dead, and kind of its hidden supple strength which might transform anger or sorrow into kind of love or hope, which is, of course, not easy.

The vocal range becomes the widest in the last phrase.

The singer sings like this in that part:
“in order to let this world be filled with love”.

After Hachi’s weird practice, she gradually found that she just needed to relax and forget herself completely in order to make her voice closer to the singer’s one.

Rising and Falling Movement of a Hand before Inner Energy is Radiated More

The second song is “Ai no katachi (Shapes of Love) feat. HIDE (GReeeeN)” sung by MISIA.

Hachi hopes you to hear the singer’s dynamic voice (the singer’s voice range is said to be five octaves), and the movement of the singer’s hand as well.

“アイノカタチ” (“Shapes of love”) sung by MISIA

Did you find anything?

When Hachi tried to make her voice closer to the singer’s one (again..! it is an impossible mission..!), her hand moved up and down unconsciously to hold the sound.

The movement of her hand overlapped with the trajectory of the moon of the photo in her mind later.

When she watched the movie again, she found that the singer’s hand moves up and down faster before the singer radiates her inner energy more.

The feeling toward the song is different from the one towards the song of “Love me with all of you heart“.

When she sings the song of “Shapes of Love”, she feels like her ribs can be loosened, and wants to wait something which might appear from inside of her.

….Hummm, the reason Hachi likes the song is that it gives her the feeling that love might mean inner energy to be pushed naturally.

People need to be filled with love first.

Then, people can give their love to others.

(Hopefully family is the first place, but that could not happen to everyone in our society.)

Anyway, if you have an opportunity to watch “NHK Red and White Song Battle” on New Year’s Eve, MISIA will perform the song!
Hachi is looking forward to it!

To Apply the Raising and Falling Movement to Reality

(Oh, Hachi suddenly remembered the latest speech of Germany Chancellor Merkel.)

There is a story why Hachi picks up the song of “Shapes of Love” now.

The song is released in 2018, and has been used in a commercial since October 2020.

Hachi is not keen to listen to pop music* and does not watch TV commercials consciously lately.

So she might listen to it, but could not recognized it.

On the other hand, at that time, she remembered the picture book of “I’ll always love you” and the memory connected with it somehow.

She had been wondering why she remembered it.

One day, when she heard and recognized the phrase of “I’ll always love” in the song from the television,
she immediately looked into the song, found the music video below, and realized it was the song that reminded her of the memory.

Can you see the movement of the singer’s muscles around the eyebrows and the shadow puppet of a dog behind her?

A song might be the way of expression to talk to people with melody.

The picture book is about the importance of expressing love every day to someone you love, and main characters are a boy and a dog.

Also she is familiar to the movement of the singer’s muscles around eyebrows because she did the same thing when she read picture books to children at work.

Hachi remembers a boy who froze alone for a while, sitting on the floor and smiling shyly, after Hachi finished reading the picture book to over 30 children.

Hachi felt something because he was a little bit difficult and violent, and asked him “How did you feel about that story?”

He replied smiling shyly (he was not usually kind of a boy…) “I felt like crying….”

Hachi answered “…I know. Me too….(long silence, looking at each other smiling shyly)…..okay, let’s have lunch”, and they went downstairs side by side.

One of the unforgettable memories for her.

The memory with him does remind Hachi again that people need to be given love first.

(While she was watching the movie above, her focus was on the light from windows, and hoped that people were happy even though COVID-19 put troubles inside of houses.
She was thinking of problems and did not know what to do, just being overwhelmed.
However, one of the most difficult interwork (inner work)* gave her a slight change of her feeling.
Thank you for the magnificent question!)

(*She made a mistake, but “interwork” is also lovely, isn’t it..?)

What is the popped-up hunch for her from the inner work above?

Perhaps it is that “why not adapt the raising and falling movement to her body such as muscles around eyebrows or the diaphragm? Maybe Sun Salutation of yoga might work as well”.

If love exists in the raising and falling movement, something will be changed.

….By the way, Hachi has been wondering why the combination of the color of orange and dark blue keeps appearing.

In this article, the color of orange and dark blue appeared in MISA’s live video and the photo of the moon.

It might represent the polarity between a sense of home and fulfilling ambitionthe importance of gradations of color, love, or anything else?

Perhaps we do not need to realize the meaning (if it exists) so quickly.

“What is going on” has many layers.

Sometimes we have a reply from the universe, which sometimes make people be amazed.

Hachi felt awed by what was going on lately, which is fun as well.

Luckily, today is 24th December 2020. It might be one of the perfect days for talking about love.

Therefore, let us express our love, sending you lots of love!
